Environmental Assessments

We have experience in conducting Phase I assessment to both ASTM and client-specific protocols.  PHASE Associates' assessments frequently go beyond guidance provided in ASTM E1527-05: Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process, and include an evaluation of a customer's compliance with environmental, health and safety municipal, state and federal regulations. A records review would also occur for evidence of present and historical use of the property and adjacent properties. Interviews will occur to obtain information on the property through current owners and municipal government officials.

In some situations, building and gaseous by products and materials may be collected to assess the presence of asbestos, lead, PCBs and radon.

Phase I, II & III Site Investigations for Property Transactions
Our site investigation for property involves a detailed physical interior review of the building and including exterior property surface/subsurface's investigation. This identifies potentially contaminated property.

Facility Compliance/Operational Audits
We provide a facility audit to determine historical violations or operational problems with respect to air emissions, wastewater discharges, hazardous disposal practices and waste management practices. A final report will be developed with the summary of findings and recommendations concerning potential environmental exposures.
