Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) surveys provided by PHASE Associates include but not limited to the following:

  • Mold (Stachybotrys, Aspergillus, etc.)
  • Asbestos (found in building materials: floor tiles and pipe insulation)

  • Chemicals (formaldehyde, odors, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs))

  • Metals: lead, copper, iron, PH))
  • Water intrusion diagnostics

The scope of an IEQ survey typically involves:

  1. Gathering initial information and interviewing occupant(s) for symptoms and complaints (if any)
  2. Investigating the over-all environmental conditions – evaluate the HVAC and areas of concern
  3. Testing for general indoor air quality indicators – temperature, CO, CO2, relative humidity
  4. Collecting microbial contaminant samples – mold, bacteria, fungi
  5. Sampling any chemical agents VOCs, dust, Formaldehyde, odor
  6. Preparing a written report of findings with recommendations for corrective measures and/or remediation plan (including pre-remediation and post-remediation surveys)

PHASE Associates uses the latest direct-reading instruments and accredited laboratories using accredited laboratory test methods when collecting samples. We have worked with insurance companies and remediation companies as a third-party contractor. We also contract directly with real estate agents, property management companies, property owners, public adjusters and homeowners.

Our professional staff is highly trained and experienced to conduct indoor air quality surveys and provide recommendations or develop a remediation plan based on the laboratory results of the survey. Certifications and licenses include but not limited to:
